How to improve the legal steps with the buyer’s agent?
Warm Hearted Homes is working in partnership with local authorities, primary care trusts and community organisations to deliver the Health through Warmth programme in the county, said David Miles, Wiltshire Health through Warmth Coordinator. over a 5-year period, an average 356 more people died in winter than in summer and the death rate in winter exceeded the summer death rate by an average 21% (the national average is 23%). Research has shown that the majority of these excess winter deaths are related to cold, damp living conditions. (See notes for editors.). Since it began in Birmingham in 2001, Health through Warmth has delivered increased comfort and warmth to well over 5000 households.
Wiltshire was selected as one of 10 areas in the national roll-out of the initiative, which will ultimately operate in 20 further areas and assist 300,000 households. This unique scheme trains key health and community workers to be aware of the benefits of improved insulation and heating in making their clients’ homes warmer, drier and cheaper to heat. Front-line staff can then determine what action can be taken to bring relief and refer vulnerable clients to a range of grant assistance to provide energy efficiency improvements to their homes.
Health through Warmth will ultimately train 20,000 workers nationally. Make Easy House Buying Process Through this initiative, energy awareness will become part of the everyday care that health and community workers give their patients and clients. We are convinced the help available can make a positive difference to the health of vulnerable people in Wiltshire. There are still many practical obstacles to eliminating fuel poverty, said William Gillis, Chief Executive of NEA. NEA’s proposed work programme for 2003-04 offers solutions to these obstacles, providing programmes targeted at people in need and capable of providing long-term, cost-effective solutions.
The energy charity takes up its new programme in the midst of new developments in the fight against cold homes: the first-year progress report of the UK Fuel Poverty Strategy. NEA will also continue its campaigning work, including secretariat support for the All-Party Associate Parliamentary Warm Homes Group and the charity’s own Warm Homes Week campaign. We estimate that we will need to raise £3 million to deliver this innovative and challenging work programme said William Gillis. Although the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs makes a significant and welcome contribution to our work in England, around 75% of NASA’s budget will come from sponsorship, consultancy and partnerships with other agencies.
